The bands that play here are awesome. The waitresses are excellent. Every time I go, the waitresses have my drink order ready before I sit at my usual table. The crowd is usually upbeat and ready to dance.
The waiter who was serving us forged my signature right in front of my friend because it was busy. Horrible service it was a good time but unethical forging my signature. This needs to be addressed! Can't trust this place.
Expensive drinks and slow service from surly bartenders is the norm at Tangos. Add to that their bossy almost belligerent evening security staff and you have a really overpriced, mediocre entertainment value. The bands are good which saved them from an otherwise deserved one star rating.
This place is definitely nothing special, as evidenced by the $5 cover (or free before 10 or 11 PM). The crowd is usually 30s and 40s aged people and up. Sometimes there are people from the younger crowd here, but not too often. On more than one occasion there has been an older guy or two creeping on women, but it's not really a huge issue.
This is generally a good place to start the night before going to other clubs. But staying here for the night isn't half bad.
Older crowd. Not many people dancing, or chatting, most are sitting alone. We were 1/2 of the crowd at the bar. Racist bartender named Bill! My wife asked for a glass of water and his response was there is a water fountain around the corner. And he was talking about the decorative fountain not a drinking fountain! Someone else had to ask for the water in order to get it. The night only got worse from there I was there for my friend's wedding after party. The only thing 1/2 way decent about this place was the band. Don't go here. Skip it and head anywhere else!
The music is usually good here with a good variety between throwbacks and modern hip hop and Spanish music. It's all just good dancing music. There's a band from 8 or 9 until about 10:40, at which point a DJ takes over.
There is a decent selection of drinks but the wait staff can take a while. If you go find your waiter and bug them they'll have no issue helping you out.
