Listen, truth is you get what you pay for.
Absolutely revolting. The management at this establishment are unscrupulous and know well how to walk the line between fraud and lawful but unethical business practices. Do not, i warn you, do not give this establishment your credit card information unless you want unwarranted charges made to your card. You can contest the claim, but they will offer "proof" to support their claim, proof which is untrue. They have stolen my money, and I will get it back. Don't let them do this to you.
Do not stay in this place!!!!
Other than the great customer service given by the man that worked the late night/early morning shift, there's absolutely no reason to stay at this hotel but if you do, stay on an upper level and check the room first. Oh and come prepared to pay the $10 parking fee. Good luck!
All in all, my stay was comfortable, my hot tub was hot, Tropicana had great breakfast and the beach was hot.
Typical motel, nice Continental breakfast, reasonably priced and reasonably clean..it's what you would expect for the price
Room 102 - a MOUSE ran over my foot! Entire room was dank and outdated. There's a locked back door inside the room leading to the back offices which is very creepy. They moved us to room 210 on the other side of the building and it felt like we were in a completely different hotel. Still not the best but much better than 102.
The $10 parking fee WAS a bit surprising and unexpected, but we were able to have our car right down the steps from our room.
I did not even stay in this hotel and requested my money back. And tried to cancel my reservation for the next 3 days. And I was told NO! I am attaching photos of the conditions of only one of the 3 rooms I was shown. I arrived and was given a very small room there was hair in the tub and the fridge did not work. I requested to move to a lower level room and when I went in that room the bathroom ceiling was falling in and the beds was soaked with water or some kind of liquid. I was moved to another room where I took pics and was waved off by the staff. When speaking to the front desk I was told "we never give you pick of 3 rooms" told I had to take the room. I then asked for a refund and was denied. I was told to take them to court it was non refundable. This hotel is unacceptable!!!! I don't believe this hotel should be allowed to be part of the choice hotels chain and I hope going forward you look into this unsanitary conditions.
I wonder however, why they take security payments from people, then (I assume) keep that money when a room is destroyed, but not fix the things broken. That seems a bit shady to me in general business practices.
I'd go back again for sure.
If you expect a gold plated tub, Platinum towel rods and diamond encrusted soap holders, this isn't the place for you. For the cost, the location is great (other than the beach construction going on). Sure there were some things I could of complained about, but honestly they didn't affect my stay.
